Colity provides all the information and tools consumers need to make the right decisions when buying new clothes. Colity is a clothing brand platform which provides completely impartial information, reviews and assessment tools to clothing buyers.
The startup aims to be build a complete database of brands categorising them according to:
• Fashion type i.e. fast fashion, mid-range, departmental fashion or high fashion
• Price range
• Fabrics (manmade or natural fibres)
• Ethical practices
Research clothing brands online or in the store
Using the platform, consumers can research clothing brands they shop with to understand what it is they are buying. The research can be conducted through the website or the Colity app. The app can be used to scan fabric composition tags on clothes and with the selection of a clothing brand, consumers can understand more about the clothing items they are buying.
The platform will also provide consumers information on clothing from information on manufacturing practices to guides on how to buy, wear and improve clothing longevity.
The Colity community
Colity will be a community focussed on clothing. Consumers will also have the ability to review specific clothing items from the brands they have purchased from and offer tailored suggestions for alternative brands and products. In the future Colity aims to provide innovative uses of technology such as scanning fabric and care labels to provide tailored and bespoke information.
